Brief History

In 1975, Fr Edwin C. Pinto began celebrating Mass at Nirmal Padav. As the community grew, a new church was built in 1980 and inaugurated on May 1, 1981. A presbytery followed in 1984. Parish leaders developed schools, extended the church, and created spaces for community life including Sabha Bhavan in 2016 and a renovated church in 2018. The new presbytery was inaugurated on June 5, 2025 under Fr James D’Souza.
